Application process opens for BioTrain 2010
HudsonAlpha's education team is currently accepting applications for the 2010 BioTrain internship program. These paid positions include weekly professional development sessions. Applications will be accepted through March 15, 2010. This summer, BioTrain will accommodate up to 30 new interns and up to 10 returning alumni of BioTrain 2009. All BioTrain internships will begin on May 31 and end on July 30, 2010. Read more.

Phillip Ewing is a senior research/electronics engineer working in Dr. Jian Han's laboratory. Prior to his arrival at HudsonAlpha in 2008, he had no idea his engineering skills would lead him to the world of biomedical reasearch. Read more.
HudsonAlpha team to participate in Start! Heart Walk to fight heart disease
More than a dozen institute employees are signed up to walk
this weekend at UAHuntsville to raise funds and awareness for heart disease. Heart disease is the number one killer in the U.S., and is also among the numerous research areas HudsonAlpha faculty investigators are studying. Most recently, Dr. Devin Absher researched cardiovascular disease through a National Heart Lung Blood Institute (NHLBI) granted research program. Read more.
